    Position Purpose Summary

    Provides marketing support to the National Accounts Product Group in developing and executing marketing initiatives as it relates to new product launches, vendor management, customer support materials and sales tools. Manages eCommerce site as well as internet support for sales activities.  Serves as a resource to the sales team by handling daily activities that free up the team’s time to sell.  First point of customer contact for general inquiries like products and customer website issues, etc.  Ensures delivery of excellent customer service; assists in resolving general customer inquiries / fulfillment issues, invoice questions, and customer complaints from inbound and outbound calls.  Responsible for completing miscellaneous projects as required.    

    Responsibilities

    • Understands the company’s vision, mission, and strategy; understands business unit objectives and sets/accomplishes individual performance goals accordingly.
    • Collects product data displayed on customers' websites, and enters and updates new data into online portals, working with product management and suppliers to provide most up to date information.   
    • Identifies, researches, and resolves product issues on customers’ websites; resolves inquiries and provides prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.
    • Creates customer price sheets, orders literature and samples, maintains and creates presentations and general assistance to the National Accounts team.
    • Provides customer service via email, phone and fax to customers and vendors. Transfers customer calls as required.
    • Provides customers with product and service information, up-sells products and services., and enters orders in system (SMART).
    • May complete call logs, reports and various sales support tasks and may solicit orders from customers (may make sales calls/cold calls) and revise pricing schedule of orders as required. 

    Qualifications

    • HS diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor’s degree a plus.
    • 0-2 years’ experience with BS / BA preferred.
    • Ability to gain the confidence and trust of the sales staff through building a good rapport with the sales team.
    • Must be self-motivated and possess good organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
    • General knowledge of records management, handling customer problems, pricing, products, production planning/scheduling, sales support, inventory control, organization structure and corporate policies and procedures.
    • Ability to project a professional company image through phone interaction, follow-up with customers, and promptly resolve problems.
    • Ability to provide excellent customer service at all times.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite Software, specifically Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint..
