    Responsibilities

    • GM is responsible for executing the Key Performance Objectives:

       

      • Increase the efficiency of the Summit plant
      • Ensure all plant personnel obtain applicable training & development opportunities to enhance performance & contributions to the company.
      • Assure there is a fully implemented maintenance program for all equipment
      • Fully implemented Safety program
      • Support the Summit Sales effort
      • Support the Local branch Product managers
      • Support the BlueLinx Marketing team in developing the marketing materials for Summit
      • Support the local branch in Sales training
      • Maintain Proper Inventory levels
      • Balance of Primed product to meet desired production schedule
      • Balance of finished product to meet the established program leadtime
      • Establish strong relationships with Key vendors
      • LP – Primed product
      • Cefla and other machine and equipment suppliers
      • Local maintenance and contract suppliers to maintain the efficiency of the plant

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of relevant experience preferred
    • BS / BA Degree preferred; MS / MA / MBA a plus.
    • Strong strategic planning, negotiation, financial (specifically financial statements), qualitative and quantitative analytical, forecasting, problem solving, decision making, innovation, change management, and interpersonal/people skills.
    • Strong leadership and management skills; can function effectively at different levels in a team environment.
    • Sales and marketing experience preferred.
    • Extensive product knowledge, consultative and relationship selling skills.
    • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Software and relevant sales systems technology.
