Position Purpose Summary

Performs a wide variety of technical maintenance, repair, installation, alteration, and construction activities involving the branch buildings and facilities; trades areas include carpentry, plumbing, lighting, and electrical trades work to improve, maintain, remodel, and renovate branches buildings, facilities, and fixtures; and performs related work as required.

Responsibilities

  • Understands the company’s vision, mission, and strategy; understands business unit objectives and sets/accomplishes individual performance goals accordingly.
  • Performs the full range of maintenance duties at the facility in order to ensure that all are maintained in a safe and effective working condition and provide the highest level of safety.
  • Responsible for performing maintenance and alterations on buildings and facilities, electrical and mechanical systems, identifying and evaluating construction-related problems, and performing installation and repairs on plumbing systems.
  • Electrical repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Performs routine and preventative maintenance tasks including overhaul and repair of machines.
  • Maintains logs of both preventative and routine maintenance as required.
  • Performs wide range of repairing/replacing and diagnosing of mechanical problems associated with equipment machinery and parts in Fabrication Shop.
  • Utilizes a variety of pneumatic and handheld tools. 
  • Performs benchwork for troubleshooting and assembly and disassembling. 
  • Ability to weld for in-house fabrication projects.
  • Completes work orders, PM sheets and inventory lists. Installs belts motors and equipment as well as other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 36 Months experience is required. Three years electrical experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred. Wood products field a plus. Vocational or technical school diploma in electricity/electronics is preferred. Must be able to perform multi-task assignments within a fast-paced work environment and demonstrate commitment to total quality and the process of continuous improvement.
