Position Purpose Summary

Provides marketing support to the Specialty Products Group in developing and executing marketing initiatives as it relates to new product launches, vendor management, customer support materials, sales tools, tradeshows and other events.  Initiates delivery and exchange of marketing materials and information with internal and third parties.  Manages corporate intranet site for the integration of specialty products, as well as internet support for sales promotions.  Develops annual marketing plans and supporting budget plans through vendor collaboration and direction. 


  • Understands the company’s vision, mission, and strategy; understands business unit objectives and sets/accomplishes individual performance goals accordingly.
  • Serves as Specialty Products liaison to the corporate Marketing department for new product launches, vendor set-up and marketing materials, (product catalogs).
  • Provides vendor interface with Marketing department for the development of literature, samples and marketing materials in support of the inside and outside sales teams.
  • Develops annual marketing plans and supporting budgets with vendor collaboration and direction.
  • Manages both the tracking and distribution of vendor funds in support of budgeted marketing initiatives.  Manages the integration of Specialty Products components in the corporate intranet site with design, updates and training.  Provides input and administration for web-based campaigns.
  • Participates and contributes in the development and communications plan for monthly product focused sales month.
  • Develops marketing tools in support of corporate initiatives, i.e., IBS show, Distribution Services.  Develops and prepares management presentations. 
  • Collaborates with the marketing, sales and, supply chain teams to design sales tools for successful promotions. Develops customized sales tools for regional and national sales programs.
  • Supports Specialty Products category design (literature, catalogs and web tools) used to promote products and categories.
  • Some photograph and video filming / editing experience preferred 


Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Industry trends and product knowledge.  Media, graphics, HTML and web design experience. Professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interface with personnel at all levels of the Company. Highly creative, detailed, and action-oriented   Must work well in a team environment.  Strong organizational and project management skills.  Ability to multitask and manage a variety of issues/projects simultaneously. 

Years of experience: 0-2 years experience with BS / BA and 0-1 year experience with MS / MA / MBA; 2+ years of experience preferred
